We will now continue our discussion of the octave of densities from the previous Article. This article will go into great detail about 3rd density, our current density.
Again, most of the following information is sourced from The Law of One unless otherwise noted.
Third Density – Yellow Ray
Third density represents the ray of self-conscious manifestations of a social nature as well as an individual nature.
Third density is the cycle of self-awareness.
Third-density planetary entities are the humans; and third-density is where we currently are as a planet.
David Wilcock explains, “In order to have a consciousness of being separate, we must lose the ability to merge with others of our own kind into a ‘group-mind.’ Our own individual mind actually becomes far more powerful in this process.
We certainly hold the memory of having a group-mind that will allow us to run on ‘autopilot,’ and thus we can succumb to the ‘herd mentality’ or what Dr. Caroline Myss calls the ‘tribal instinct’ where we want to be part of a group, and let the group do all of our thinking for us.
The problem with having a group-mind is that it removes the need for most individual thinking, reasoning and learning, and we never really grow by experience.”
With third-density awareness comes the advent of conscious processes that are not directly required for survival, such as love, compassion and creativity.
This is considered to be the most important level of existence in the Universe in the spiritual sense, as it presents one with very unique conditions – that is the choice of free will.
Third density on this planet consists of three cycles of approximately 25,000 years each – a total of approximately 75,000 years.
The third density has an infinite number of levels.
The third density cycle is so extremely rapid compared to first and second because the third density is a choice.
The prelude to choice must encompass the laying of the foundation, the establishment of the illusion and the viability of that which can be made spiritually viable. The remainder of the densities is continuous refining of the choice.
The choice is the work of a moment but is the axis upon which the creation turns.
Third Density Lessons
When any entity comes into third-density incarnation, each of its energy centers (chakras) is potentiated but must be activated by the self using experience.
There is one necessity for third density. That necessity is self-awareness, or self-consciousness.
In order to be capable of such, this chemical complex of body must be capable of abstract thought. Thus, the fundamental necessity is the combination of rational and intuitive thinking. This was transitory in the second-density forms operating largely upon intuition which proved through practice to yield results.
Consider, if you will, the tree. It is self-sufficient. Consider, if you will, the third-density entity. It is self-sufficient only through difficulty and deprivation. It is difficult to learn alone for there is a built-in handicap, at once the great virtue and the great handicap of third density. That is the rational/intuitive mind.
There are other important ingredients: the necessity for a weaker physical vehicle to encourage the use of the mind; the further development of physical dexterity in the sense of the hand; and the development of the already present awareness of the social complex.
Thus, the weakening of the physical vehicle was designed to distort entities towards a predisposition to deal with each other. Thus, the lessons which approach a knowing of love can be begun.
This catalyst then is shared between peoples as an important part of each self’s development as well as the experiences of the self in solitude and the synthesis of all experience through meditation.
The quickest way to learn is to deal with other-selves. This is a much greater catalyst than dealing with the self. Dealing with the self without other-selves is akin to living without mirrors. Thus, the self cannot see the fruits of its being-ness.
Thus, each may aid each by reflection. This is also a primary reason for the weakening of the physical vehicle.
The proper role of the entity is in this density to experience all things desired, to then analyze, understand, and accept these experiences, distilling from them the love/light within them. Nothing shall be overcome. That which is not needed falls away.
We have found it to be inappropriate in the extreme to encourage the overcoming (repression or suppression) of any desires, except to suggest the imagination rather than the carrying out in the physical plane, as you call it, of those desires not consonant with the Law of One; this preserving the primal distortion of free will.
The reason it is unwise to overcome is that overcoming is an unbalanced action creating difficulties in balancing in the time/space continuum. Overcoming thus creates the further environment for holding onto that which apparently has been overcome.
All things are acceptable in the proper time for each entity, and in experiencing, in understanding, in accepting, in then sharing with other-selves, the appropriate description shall be moving away from distortions of one kind to distortions of another which may be more consonant with the Law of One.
It is, shall we say, a shortcut to simply ignore or overcome any desire. It must instead be understood and accepted. This takes patience and experience which can be analyzed with care, with compassion for self and for other-self.
Transition from Third to Fourth Density (Graduation)
The fourth density is, as we have said, as regularized in its approach as the striking of a clock upon the hour. This relates to the Precession of the Equinoxes.
The space/time of your solar system has enabled this planetary sphere to spiral into space/time of a different vibrational configuration. This causes the planetary sphere to be able to be molded by these new distortions. However, the thought-forms of your people during this transition period are such that the mind/body/spirit complexes of both individual and societies are scattered throughout the spectrum instead of beng able to grasp the needle, shall we say, and point the compass in one direction.
Thus, the entry into the vibration of love, sometimes called by your people the vibration of understanding, is not effective with your present societal complex. Thus, the harvest (graduation) shall be such that many will repeat the third-density cycle. The energies of your Wanderers, your teachers, and your adepts at this time are all bent upon increasing the harvest. However, there are few to harvest.
Note here the word ‘harvest’ does not imply a scary devouring of humanity by higher forces. This term is used to describe the graduation to a higher density. It is taken from the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares in the book of Matthew in the Bible:
“Another parable He put forth to them, saying: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, ‘First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.’” Matthew 13:24-30
We may note at this point while you ponder the possibility/probability vortices that although you have many, many items which cause distress and thus offer seeking and service opportunities, there is always one container in that store of peace, love, light, and joy. This vortex may be very small, but to turn one’s back upon it is to forget the infinite possibilities of the present moment. Could your planet polarize towards harmony in one fine, strong moment of inspiration? Yes, my friends. It is not probable; but it is ever possible.
The Two Paths (The Choice)
Creation is a single entity or unity.
If only a single entity exists, then the only concept of service is service to self.
If this single entity subdivides, then the concept of service of one of its parts to the other part is born.
From this concept springs the equality of service to self or to others.
These polarities begin to be explored only at the point when a third-density entity becomes aware of the possibility of choice between the concept or distortion of service to self or service to others.
This marks the end of what you may call the unself-conscious or innocent phase of conscious awareness.
*It is interesting to note that traditionally these two paths have been given the names the “Left hand Path” as the negative path and the “Right hand Path” as the positive path.
In Timaeus 36c, Plato writes of the structure of the world soul, “the outer revolution he named the revolution of identity, and the inner one the revolution of difference. He made identity move around towards the right, as if along a side, and difference towards the left, as if along a diagonal, and he gave sovereignty to the revolution of identity and constancy.”
Traditionally this has been interpreted to refer to the revolution of the sun and planets. However, on deeper level it can be read to refer to the evolution of consciousness.
This also speaks to the idea that no evil was ‘created’ in the world except that which humans create themselves.
The left-hand path is one of difference, or separation. This is not bad or evil in itself. It only becomes harmful when it is used to the exclusion of unity, or in this case, identity.
The Law of One often says, ‘there is no right or wrong, only identity.’ Identity is recognizing the individuality of something and still recognizing its place in the greater scheme of unity and its interconnection to all else.
Service-to-others (Positive)
The Service-to-others path is the path of acceptance and forgiveness and of unity.
Catalyst is loved and accepted.
Acceptance is the key to positively polarized use of catalyst.
It is paramount that it be understood that it is not desirable or helpful to the growth of the understanding of an entity by itself to control thought processes or impulses except where they may result in actions not consonant with the Law of One.
Control may seem to be a short-cut to discipline, peace, and illumination. However, this very control potentiates and necessitates the further incarnative experience in order to balance this control or repression of that self which is perfect.
Acceptance of self, forgiveness of self, and the direction of the will; this is the path towards the disciplined personality. Your faculty of will is that which is powerful within you as co-Creator. Thus it must be carefully used and directed in service to others for those upon the positively oriented path.
The positive polarity attempts to see through the illusion to the Creator in each mind/body/spirit complex, but for the greater part is concerned with behaviors and thoughts directed towards other-selves in order to be of service.
The primary thing of importance for those on the service-to-others path is the development of an attitude which I can only describe as vibration. This attitude would be developed through meditation, ritual, and a developing appreciation for the creation or Creator which results in a state of mind that can only be expressed as an increase in vibration or oneness with all. To these qualities you may add the living day by day and moment by moment, for the true adept lives more and more as it is.
If any entity is able to dwell completely in unity the only harm that may occur to it is the changing of the outward physical, yellow-ray vehicle into the more light-filled mind/body/spirit complex’s vehicle by the process of death. All other suffering and pain is as nothing to one such as this.
Service-to-Self (Negative)
The Service-to-Self path is the path of manipulation and control and of separation.
On this path catalyst is controlled.
Control is the key to negatively polarized use of catalyst.
The negative path is one of separation. What is the first separation: the self from the self.
To walk this path there is a great requirement for control and repression.
Emotions need to be repressed then brought to the surface in an organized use.
Thus you may find for instance, negatively polarized entities controlling and repressing such basic bodily complex needs as the sexual desire in order that in the practice thereof the will may be used to enforce itself upon the other-self with greater efficiency when the sexual behavior is allowed.
The negative entity will strive to offer these understandings to other-selves, most usually by the process of forming the elite, the disciples, and teaching the need and rightness of the enslavement of other-selves for their own good. These other-selves are conceived to be dependent upon the negative self and in need of their guidance and wisdom.
The negative polarization is greatly aided by the subjugation or enslavement of other-selves. The potential between two negatively polarized entities is such that the entity which enslaves the other or bids the other gains in negative polarity.
You must recall that in negative thinking there is always the pecking order, shall we say, and the power against power in separation.
The negative polarity depends more heavily upon the illusory separation betwixt the self and all other mind/body/spirit complexes.
The negative polarization is one which does not accept the concept of the free will of other-selves. The free will of negatively oriented entities is bent upon conquest.
Those seeking intelligent infinity through the use of service to self create the same amount of power but have constant difficulty because of the concept of separation which is implicit in the manifestations of the service to self which involve power over others. This weakens and eventually disintegrates the energy collected by such mind/body/spirit complexes.
There is no protection at all if the Experience of the Mind has become negative and the negative path is traveled. All random catalyst may affect the negatively polarized individual as a function of the statistical nature of the random catalyst. You may note some of those of your peoples which, at this space/time nexus, seek places of survival. This is due to the lack of protection when service to self is invoked.
You will notice the many inborn biases which hint to the possibility of one path’s being more efficient than the other. This was the design of the Logos (Galactic Mind).
Our suggestion was that within the experiential nexus of each entity within its second-density environment and within the roots of mind there were placed biases indicating to the watchful eye the more efficient of the two paths. Let us say, for want of a more precise adjective, that this Logos has a bias towards kindness.
To put it more clearly, the positive path is more efficient. The positive path is one of unity. Protection is offered. You are able to move in harmony with the universe. Positive results will be your reward.
On the negative path there is no protection and no help. You are alone against the world and all in the world. You may choose this path but you must accept the negative consequences that surely will come to you. This path may be walked during 3rd, 4th and 5th densities; however, upon 6th density the separation implied in this path leads to a weakening and disintegration of the entity. They must then disintegrate or switch paths to the positive in order to continue to evolve.
The negative path is one of control, manipulation and chaos. Chaos destroys eventually.
We will now take a look at the Bhagavad Gita, as translated by Eknath Easwaran, to see its descriptions of this choice and of the qualities of people on each of the two paths.
Bhagavad Gita – Chapter 16: Two Paths
Sri Krishna said:
1-3. Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give of yourself freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve. Realize the truth of the scriptures; learn to be detached from material things and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle; show good will to all. Put others first and yourself last. All these, Arjuna, will reveal your real nature.
- Other qualities, Arjuna, make a person more and more inhuman: hypocrisy, arrogance, conceit, anger, cruelty, ignorance of the unity of life.
- The divine qualities lead to freedom; the demonic, to bondage. But do not grieve, Arjuna; you were born with divine attributes.
- Some people have divine tendencies, others demonic. I have described the divine at length, Arjuna; now listen while I describe the demonic (those on the negative path).
- The demonic do things they should avoid and avoid the things they should do. They have no sense of uprightness, purity, or truth.
- “There is no God,” they say, “no truth, no spiritual law, no moral order. The basis of life is sex; what else can it be?”
- Holding such distorted views, possessing scant discrimination, they become enemies of the world, causing suffering and destruction.
- Hypocritical, proud, and arrogant, living in delusion and clinging to deluded ideas, insatiable in their desires, they pursue unhesitatingly their own selfish ends.
- Although burdened with fears that end only with death, they still maintain with complete assurance, “Gratification of lust is the highest life can offer.”
- Bound on all sides by scheming and anxiety, driven by anger and greed, they amass by any means they can a hoard of money for the satisfaction of their cravings.
- “I got this today,” they say; “tomorrow I shall get that. This wealth is mine, and that will be mine too.”
- “I have destroyed my enemies. I shall destroy others too! Am I not like God? I enjoy what I want. I am successful. I am powerful. I am happy.
- “I am rich and wellborn. Who is equal to me? I will perform lavish sacrifices and give away lavish gifts, and rejoice in my own generosity.” This is how they go on, deluded by ignorance.
- Bound by their greed and entangled in a web of delusion, whirled about by a fragmented mind, they fall into a dark hell.
- Self-important, obstinate, swept away by the pride of wealth, they ostentatiously perform sacrifices without any regard for their purpose.
- Egotistical, violent, arrogant, lustful, and angry, envious of everyone, they abuse my presence within their own bodies and in the bodies of others.
- Life after life I cast those who are malicious, hateful, cruel and degraded into the wombs of those with similar natures.
- Birth after birth they find themselves with demonic tendencies. Degraded in this way, Arjuna, they fail to reach Me and fall lower still.
- There are three gates to this self-destructive state: lust, anger, and greed. Renounce these.
- Those who pass freely by these three gates of darkness, Arjuna, seek what is best and attain life’s supreme goal.
- Others disregard the teachings of the scriptures. Driven by selfish desire, they miss the goal of life, miss even happiness and prosperity.
Graduation (Positive & Negative)
There is one harvest. Those able to enter fourth density through vibrational complex levels may choose the manner of their further seeking of the One Creator. As entities enter 4th density, there will be a split, and part of the individuals go to planets where there is service to others and part will go into places where there is service to self.
Positive – an entity must be over 50% service to others and less than 50% service to self
If an entity is harvested into fourth density with a grade of 51% for others and 49% for self, they would go into the appropriate sub-density which vibrates in accordance with the entity’s understanding.
Negative – an entity must obtain a grade of 5% service-to-others and 95% service-to-self to graduate into fourth-density negative. It must approach totality. (This is akin to massive harm; genocide; slavery; the most horrific crimes and slavery perpetrated upon many, many people.)
The negative path is quite difficult to attain and requires great dedication.
Third Option – The sinkhole of indifference is between these two. Those who fall within this sinkhole will not graduate and will have to repeat third-density.
These are truly helpless as they are those who have not consciously chosen but who repeat patterns without knowledge of the repetition or the meaning of the pattern.
It is absolutely necessary that an entity consciously realizes it does not understand in order for it to be harvestable. Understanding is not of this density. However, it is not necessary for an entity to be consciously aware of the Law of One to go from the third density to 4th density.
As Richard Maurice Burke writes in Cosmic Consciousness, “Along the level road of the formation of suns and planets, of earth crust, of rocks and soil, we are carried…smoothly and safely; but when we reach this perilous pit stretching interminably to right and left across our path, we pause…so wide and dark frowns the abyss.”
But of course, we must travel on, or either fall into that sinkhole of indifference.
Harvesters
In time of harvest there are always harvesters. The fruit is formed as it will be, but there is some supervision necessary to ensure that this bounty is placed as it should be without the bruise or the blemish.
There are those of three levels watching over harvest:
Angelic – First level
This type of guardian includes the mind/body/spirit complex totality or higher self of an entity and those inner plane entities which have been attracted to this entity through its inner seeking.
Confederation entities – Second level
Those of the Confederation who have the honor/duty of standing in the small places at the edge of the steps of light/love so that those entities being harvested will not, no matter how confused or unable to make contact with their higher self, stumble and fall away for any reason other than the strength of the light.
These Confederation entities catch those who stumble and set them aright so that they may continue into the light.
Guardians – Third level
This group is from the octave above our own and serves in this manner as light-bringers. These Guardians provide the precise emissions of light/love in exquisitely fastidious disseminations of discrimination so that the precise light/love vibration of each entity may be ascertained.
Thus the harvest is automatic in that those harvested will respond according to that which is unchangeable during harvest. That is the violet-ray emanation. However, these helpers are around to ensure a proper harvesting so that each entity may have the fullest opportunity to express its violet-ray selfhood.
Why Two Paths? Why have a Split?
Just as it is in electricity, if we have no polarity in electricity we have no electricity; we have no work. Therefore, it is the same in consciousness. If we have no polarity in consciousness we also have no work.
Work is done far more efficiently and with greater purity, intensity, and variety by the voluntary searching of mind/body/spirit complexes for the lessons of third and fourth densities.
The concept of service to self and service to others is mandatory if we wish to have work, whether it be work in consciousness or work of a mechanical nature in the Newtonian concept in the physical. The only difference is the coil, as you may understand this term, is wound, is potential, is ready. The thing that is missing without polarizing is the charge. The charge is provided by the individualized entity using the in-pourings and in-streamings of energy by the choices of free will.
There is an extreme potential in this polarization the same as there is in electricity. We have a positive and negative pole. The more you build the charge on either of these, the more the potential difference and the greater the ability to do work, as we call it in the physical. This is the same analogy that we have in consciousness.
As Mark Booth writes, “Humans would never have been able to become freely creative, brave or loving if they had not been able to make mistakes, to see things as other than they are and to believe things to be other than they are. We can often believe what we want to believe. For instance, the life of someone we know can appear a miserable failure or a heart-warming success depending on how we choose to look at it, whether good-heartedly or mean-spiritedly. And when the harsh fire, the primeval sulphur burns in the pit of our stomachs, it is difficult for us to choose to be good-hearted.
Human nature is so formed that any power I may have to resist my animal desires – indeed what stops me from becoming a mere animal – derives from my capacity for thought and reflection.”
Or as Friedrich Nietzsche said, “Unless you have chaos inside you, you cannot give birth to a dancing star.”
What Bias creates the Momentum towards the Chosen Path of Service-to-Self?
We can speak only in metaphor. Some love the light. Some love the darkness.
It is a matter of the unique and infinitely various Creator choosing and playing among its experiences as a child upon a picnic. Some enjoy the picnic and find the sun beautiful, the food delicious, the games refreshing, and glow with the joy of creation.
Some find the night delicious, their picnic being pain, difficulty, sufferings of others, and the examination of the perversities of nature.
These enjoy a different picnic. All these experiences are available. It is the free will of each entity which chooses the form of play, the form of pleasure.
